Working Together to Support Food Security

Ensuring domestic food security in the 21st century cannot be accomplished by one single organization or advocate. That’s why the dairy industry is committed to working together and alongside dedicated partners such as The Academy of Nutrition Dietetics to help create sustainable solutions that support the health of the earth and its growing population.
In a recent blog post on DairyGood.org, President of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Ethan A. Bergman, PhD, RD, FADA, CD, shares the Academy’s perspective, noting, “[we believe] access to adequate amounts of safe, nutritious and culturally appropriate food at all times is a fundamental human right, and we support programs and encourage practices that combat hunger and malnutrition, produce food security, promote self-sufficiency and are environmentally and economically sustainable.”
