For nearly 100 years, America’s 51,000 dairy farm families have been dedicated to fostering a healthier society through nutrition education, research and communication in their communities and schools. This is now more critical than ever, as we live in a time where children’s health and wellness are threatened by pressing issues such as a national obesity epidemic and the rising problem of food security. Ensuring the health of future generations cannot be done alone, and thankfully there are many people and organizations, including The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, working towards the same goal.
Through programs like the Academy’s Kids Eat Right and our own Fuel Up to Play 60, thousands of children across the U.S. are empowered to access good nutrition and physical activity every day. Read more on DairyGood.org about the ways programs like these are making a difference. Together, I am confident we can create long-term solutions to positively impact the lives of America’s youth for many generations to come.
